Discussing tips for making project based learning successful in the classroom. One I thought that was important was making sure to have a digital home for students to share their work to. I also thought it was important to be sure to turn the work over to the students and let them be creative and create their own work as well as offering guidance throughout the project instead of waiting until the end.

The part I found most useful was some suggestions on what teachers and tutors can do for these types of students. Breaking down tasks and avoiding being too direct were some that I think were most important.

Google is releasing the under water images in google street view. The announcement is set to coincide with June 8th's earth day. I think this is could be an extremely beneficial way to show students real life geography and/or science.

This was a simple tweet announcing that McGraw-Hill has released new editions of the Family and Consumer Science curriculum books. The tweet also came with a 20% off coupon code. It is interesting to look at the books and resources online even if we don't necessarily use them in class.

This site gives you 3 simple tricks to make searching for things easier. The first was that in order to find the distance between two places all you have to do is type "distance from to blank" and it will come up with the answer without having to go in to google maps. In order to find the weather you just type city + weather and it will come up with the forecast. Last tip was to find a definition of a word you just type "_ definition" and it will automatically come up.

It gave lesson ideas, videos, and other information about crafts and projects that can be done relating to textiles. I thought this was interesting because I have always thought it was difficult to incorporate technology in to textiles lesson.
